Welcome to Mare’s Art. My name is Mary Anne Hjelmfelt, and I am an animal and nature lover-inspired mixed media artist currently living and working in Fort Collins. My main subjects revolve around flowers and nature scenes, as I believe we need to find things that connect us and that art, in whatever form we personally admire, can have this power to do so.

My artwork offers many services, such as people and pet portraits, to give my clients' treasured memories lasting homage. If a portrait is not the best option, artwork from my portfolio is a great solution. My passion for nature, art, and animals led me to develop my own style of abstracts and realism as I blended textures and layers of paint to create unique, colorful pieces. I work with acrylic paints and interesting textured papers, as well as various mixed media.
