Mare’s Art (‘Mare’ pronounced like the horse) emerged after a career in graphic design where my creativity became stifled. Today, my paintings are created for the appreciation of peace and nature. I believe we need to find things that connect us, and that art, in whatever form we personally admire, has the capability to do that. In my heart, I still want to save the planet. My core subjects involve an aspect of nature, often a flower or scene, as a reminder to respect Earth. My mixed-media portfolio involves techniques to engage and intrigue you, such as layering my canvases with acrylic paint, interesting textured papers, and a variety of 3D materials.
My wish is that you take a pause in your day to cherish the colorful, textured world around us. Through my artwork, I hope to be an inspiration to others to find their true selves.
