Mare’s Art (‘Mare’ pronounced like the horse) emerged after a career in graphic design where my creativity became stifled. My paintings are created for the appreciation of peace and nature. I believe we need to find things that connect us, and that art, in whatever form we personally admire, has the capability to do that. My core subjects involve an aspect of nature, often a flower or scene, as a reminder to respect Earth. My mixed-media portfolio showcases layering my canvases with acrylic paint, interesting textured papers, and a variety of 3D materials. Giving that "I want to touch it!" feel.
